Spanning 11 countries, Arab Cinema Week Volume 3 proudly spotlights women’s voices both in front of and behind the camera, with nearly 50% of the films created by female filmmakers.
Established in collaboration with Bahrain’s Ministry of Information and the Bahrain Film Festival, this incubator will support female creatives as they develop and produce their short films.
The shorts will be showcased across various categories at the festival, such as Bahraini competition, animated films, and short narratives.
This year’s event is dedicated to empowering Arab women by highlighting their stories and addressing the stereotypes that misrepresent their roles and ambitions in society.
The winning films include 'The Sun Sets on Beirut', 'The Last Winter' and 'Vibrations for Gaza'.
The lineup includes shorts from Sudan, Tunisia, Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Jordan.
The festival will showcase films from a diverse range of countries, including Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, France, Brazil, Japan, Sudan, Palestine, Oman and India, among others.
