Lagoonie Film Production and Rise Studios are gearing up for the Egyptian cinema release of the film adaptation of the late legendary writer Ihsan Abdel-Quddous’ work, A Nose and Three Eyes, scheduled for January 31. The production recently unveiled 14 prominent characters through a series of official character posters, building excitement among audiences.
Having celebrated its world premiere as part of the Arab Spectacular Programme during the third edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival, the film has received widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences alike.
This modern interpretation of Abdel-Quddous’ novel, previously adapted into a film in 1972, follows the storyline of Doctor Hashem, a renowned plastic surgeon in his mid-40s, navigating the complexities of love. Despite two previous long-term relationships, he finds himself single until a chance encounter with Ruba, a woman 25 years his junior, takes the narrative in a captivating direction.
Directed by Amir Ramsis and featuring a screenplay by Wael Hamdy, A Nose and Three Eyes boasts a star-studded cast, including Dhaffer L’Abidine, Saba Mubarak, Salma Abudeif, Sedky Sakhr, Gihan El-Shamashergy, Salwa Mohamed Ali, Nabil Maher, and Selim Mostafa. Amina Khalil will make a special appearance as a guest of honour.
