Dubai-based distributor Advanced Media was recently appointed Zeiss distributor for the region.
Speaking exclusively to BroadcastPro ME on the sidelines of a workshop to demonstrate the features of the new Weisscam HS-2 MK II from P+S Technik, Kaveh Farnam, CEO of Advanced Media said: We have been distributors of Zeiss photography lenses for a while. Now, we have forged a deal to distribute its lenses to the video market as well.
Zeiss will also be a part of the Advanced Media stand at CABSAT2011.
We have most of the Zeiss lenses in stock. We are especially excited about the Compact Primes because you can change the mount by yourself. They provide a special tool that helps you to change the lenses without applying extra pressure. With the CP2, you no longer have to buy two lenses. These Zeiss lenses support both still and video shoots although for videography, you will require an image converter.
Farnam also added that Advanced Media will make some significant announcements at CABSAT this year.
