The festival will also screen the SundanceTV Shorts competition winners online and the films will be available exclusively on SundanceTV channel 75 on the beIN network across the MENA region.
Commenting on the announcement, Mohammad Al-Subaie, Acting CEO of beIN MENA, said: “As we pursue partnerships with the best-in-class organisations across entertainment – both in MENA and around the world – it is an honour to partner with DFI’s eighth Ajyal Film Festival as an official media sponsor. Our partnership with DFI demonstrates our focus on bringing world-class content to our viewers, but also our pride in celebrating the amazing creative talent that exists across MENA.”
Fatma Hassan Alremaihi, Festival Director and CEO at DFI, remarked: “We are delighted to have beIN join the Ajyal family. Forging ahead together as partners in spreading the Ajyal spirit and amplifying unheard voices to a more expansive audience, we are proud to work with one of the foremost media organisations to showcase the creative community in Qatar to the world. As we continue to unite to triumph over the trials of separation and isolation of this year, we look forward to finding new ways to discover opportunities for innovation and inspire creativity in each and every audience member.”
