'The Future of Arab Media' will be the theme of the 21st Arab Media Forum.
The 21st edition of the Arab Media Forum (AMF) will kick off in Dubai on Tuesday, September 26, at the Madinat Jumeirah, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Organised by the Dubai Press Club, this two-day event is set to draw more than 3,000 distinguished attendees, including influential media figures, ministers, heads of prominent local, Arab, and international media entities, as well as esteemed thought leaders, intellectuals, and writers.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, will grace the opening ceremony of AMF 2023, along with the commencement of the 22nd edition of the Arab Media Award.
This year’s AMF carries the theme ‘The Future of Arab Media,’ with a specific focus on the multifaceted forces shaping the future of media within the region. Key topics of discussion include the impact of artificial intelligence on the media landscape, the broader creative domain, and the influence of film and drama as sources of soft power.
The inaugural ‘Youth Media Forum’, held ahead of the Arab Media Forum on Day Zero, concluded on September 25. The one-day event featured a gathering of more than 200 media students who actively participated in panel discussions led by a diverse group of experts. The event, designed to showcase inspiring experiences, placed a strong emphasis on equipping the next generation of media professionals with the skills and knowledge essential for flourishing in a rapidly evolving media environment.
The 2023 Arab Media Forum is set to host more than 75 sessions featuring 130 speakers and the active involvement of 160 media organisations. The Forum will delve into cutting-edge media trends, share inspirational success stories, and engage in discussions aimed at shaping a visionary future for the Arab world’s media landscape.
