In a move to deepen the Arab audience’s connection with the natural world, Asharq Discovery has unveiled a new slate of acclaimed wildlife documentaries, available for free viewing on the Asharq Discovery channel and Asharq NOW platform. This exclusive offering underscores the network’s growing reputation as the premier destination for nature programming in the Middle East and North Africa.
The lineup features some of the most celebrated nature documentaries ever produced, including Planet Earth, Big Cats 24/7 and Mammals—all presented for the first time with Arabic subtitles. Each title combines cinematography with compelling storytelling to bring the wonders of wildlife to millions of Arabic-speaking viewers across the region.
Mohammed Al Yousei, General Manager of Asharq Documentary and Asharq Discovery, said: “Asharq Discovery aims to engage a wide range of viewers – from animal lovers and families to students and knowledge-seekers, and those who are passionate about exploring the planet up close and in high quality. Through this exceptional lineup, we’re not only bringing globally acclaimed documentaries to the region but also aiming to foster a deeper connection with the natural world — through captivating visuals, rich visual storytelling, and a viewing experience tailored to the preferences of the Arab audience.”
Among the highlights is Planet Earth, the iconic series narrated by Sir David Attenborough, which returns in 4K ultra-HD to explore the planet’s wildest landscapes. Also featured is Big Cats 24/7, a behind-the-scenes chronicle of big cat life in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, captured over six months of continuous filming. The lineup is rounded out by Mammals, another Attenborough-narrated production, which follows the extraordinary adaptations of mammals across the globe’s most extreme environments.
The documentaries are also accessible through a newly launched Wildlife page on the Asharq NOW platform, offering a curated and immersive viewing experience.
