The media group showcases innovation, AI capabilities, and thought leadership as part of its journey from broadcaster to technology-driven media company.
BeIN Media Group, alongside its companies TOD and ProTV, has participated in the third edition of Web Summit Qatar, where it is spotlighting its evolution into a technology-led media group and presenting innovations shaping the future of sports streaming, fan engagement and digital media.
The four-day event, currently underway at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre and running through Wednesday, February 4, brings together global entrepreneurs, investors, startups and industry leaders to explore advances in technology, artificial intelligence, fintech and digital transformation.
At the summit, beIN is offering immersive on-booth experiences that showcase its growing investment in proprietary technologies across broadcasting, streaming and AI-enabled solutions. The demonstrations underline the Group’s focus on developing scalable and flexible systems designed to improve operational efficiency while enhancing both on-air and digital output.
Among the featured technologies is beIN’s in-house on-air data automation system, which integrates live data feeds from multiple sources such as sports, weather and financial services. The platform enables real-time visualisation and dynamic data presentation without manual intervention. Visitors can also explore beIN’s automated social media design and publishing system, highlighting the company’s shift toward fully automated, data-driven content creation and distribution workflows.
TOD is presenting a dedicated experience zone that illustrates how beIN’s OTT platform uses AI and data analytics to improve content discovery, accessibility and fan engagement at scale. Demonstrations include real-time multilingual AI subtitling and translation, an interactive content discovery interface driven by audience behaviour, and advanced viewing features such as automated highlights, live match statistics, and tools like Multiview and Fanzone. These capabilities reflect beIN’s strategy to build an intelligent, scalable streaming platform that supports regional expansion and evolving audience expectations ahead of major global sporting events.
Visitors can also explore beIN STREAM, the Group’s OTT service that uses a dedicated streaming device to access content, signalling a shift toward cloud-based delivery. The platform demonstrates how cloud technology allows faster updates, advanced graphics and AI-enhanced features while reducing reliance on complex on-premise infrastructure.
In addition to technology showcases, beIN is engaging with industry peers through masterclasses and discussions led by its experts, focusing on media innovation and the future of sports broadcasting. Interviews recorded at beIN’s on-site studio with prominent figures from the sports industry will be broadcast on its flagship beIN Sports channels.
As part of its Web Summit Qatar 2026 programme, beIN will host a fireside chat on February 3 titled From Broadcast to Bespoke: The Future of Sports Streaming. The session will feature Rama Aldairi, Group Vice President of Digital at beIN Media Group, and Peter Mrkic, Managing Director of TOD, who will discuss the transition from traditional direct-to-home broadcasting to integrated streaming ecosystems, the growing role of AI and personalisation in fan engagement, and the challenges of scaling digital platforms across diverse markets.
beIN is welcoming summit attendees at its booth located at E430 throughout Web Summit Qatar 2026.
