BeIN Media Group is set to broadcast F1 Kids this Sunday, May 26, on its Arabic language children’s channel Jeem TV for the first time. F1 Kids, a specially curated programme for young motorsports enthusiasts, offers a simplified, basics-oriented viewing experience for children and those new to the sport.
Starting with this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix, beIN’s decision to broadcast F1 Kids in Arabic across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region this season underscores the network’s commitment to bringing the thrill of Formula 1 to younger audiences in the Arab world.
Originally piloted during the Hungarian Grand Prix in July 2023, F1 Kids has garnered widespread praise for its format, attracting families and children alike. The programme features 3D augmented graphics, child-friendly team radio transmissions, technical explainers, and a package of colourful graphics and animations, including cartoon driver avatars and upgraded car livery designs.
This Sunday’s broadcast will be hosted by Jeem TV presenter Iman Bakhache, who will guide young viewers through the world of F1 racing. The live coverage begins with a half-hour pre-race show at 15:30 MECCA, leading up to the start of the race.
During the pre-race segment, Bakhache will interact with two young fans, delve into the history of the Monaco Grand Prix, recap the previous race at Imola, discuss the challenges of the Monte Carlo street circuit, and consult with F1 expert Mustapha Izawi. BeIN presenter Stephanie Saad will provide live updates from inside the paddock at Monaco, and the show will feature an interactive true-or-false F1 competition with two young guests.
As the grand prix begins at 16:00 MECCA, commentator Younis Al-Araj will be joined by a child commentator to narrate and analyse the race, highlight key moments, and provide additional insights.
Following each episode of F1 Kids, viewers can look forward to Anbar Loves Formula 1, airing each Monday post-race. This additional programme features the Anbar puppet and a young F1 fan, offering further insights into the world of racing and unravelling the dynamics of motorsport.
BeIN recently secured exclusive rights to the FIA Formula One World Championship in 25 countries across the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye, from the beginning of the 2024 season until the end of the 2033 season. The network also holds the rights to the F1 Academy, a female-only single-seater racing championship.
