BroadcastAsia 2013 has set the stage for a comprehensive broadcast event in Asia, with a representation of close to 90% of exhibitors from overseas and a great number of debut exhibitors congregating at the four-day event held at Marina Bay Sands from 18 21 June 2013.A media briefing held today gave a sneak peek of some of the companies that will be exhibiting at this year exhibition, including first-time exhibitors such as Autodesk Asia, Avid, Ericsson, Hybrid, Ikegami, Jebsen & Co, Orad, PCCW, RGB Networks, Siemens Convergence Creators, Sumitomo Electric, Tsushinki, Yamaha Music and more.
Global technology leaders such as Canon, EVS, Evertz, GoPro, Harmonic, Miranda, Netia, PACE, Quantel, Rohde & Schwarz, Snell, Thomson, Toshiba and many others will also return to BroadcastAsia2013 this year, providing visitors with the latest technological and products updates in the broadcast industry. Returning exhibitors like Blackmagic Design, Cine Equipment, Harris, Media Village, Panasonic, RCS, Sennheiser, Sony and many others have also expanded the size of their booths compared to last year.

Latest in 4K Technology
Blackmagic Design, one of the forerunners in 4K camera technology, gave a preview of their latest products that will be on showcase at BroadcastAsia2013, including the much anticipated Blackmagic Production Camera 4K and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, which will make their Asia debut at BroadcastAsia2013. In line with their aim of providing the latest broadcasting technologies to aspiring filmmakers at an affordable price, the Blackmagic Production Camera 4K is priced at SGD 4,000.00 and the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera will be available to consumers at SGD 995.00.
Blackmagic Design also revealed their latest 6G-SDI products, the only solution that allows Ultra HD products to be integrated into current SDI based television systems, as well as the 4K Live Production switcher, completing the entire 4K broadcasting ecosystem.

Conferences Offer Pertinent and Up-to-Date Topics
For the first time, delegates from both the CommunicAsia2013 Summit and BroadcastAsia2013 International Conference will be participating in a two-part visionary address on 19 June 2013. The first is the Governmental Visionary Address by the Minister for Technology, State Government of Victoria, Australia, The Hon. Gordon Rich-Phillips. This is followed by the Industry Visionary Address by Karim Temsamani, Head of Asia Pacific, Google.
Held alongside the exhibition, the BroadcastAsia2013 International Conference will feature dedicated conference tracks to address key topics such as connected TV, OTT, multi-screen content, next-gen innovation and technology in TV and more. Speakers from Grass Valley, Irdeto, LG, MediaCorp, Samsung, YouTube among many others will share successful business strategies and exchange insights with delegates.
The Creative Content Production Conference, held on 19 20 June 2013, will arm aspiring filmmakers with the right tools and knowledge in order to tell their stories and engage viewers successfully.
