The media content producer is in the process of identifying office space and personnel to operate their Dubai office.

Cairo-based content creators, Media Gate Studios has announced plans to open an office in Dubai. The media production company with more than two decades in the business of creating content for Arabic language channels is in the process of identifying office space and personnel to operate their Dubai office.
Speaking to BroadcastPro ME, on the sidelines of the MyContent exhibition at DWTC, CEO Maged Tadrous said: A presence in Dubai is important to connect with broadcasters in the lucrative GCC market.
With more than 2,000 sqft of studio space in Cairo and equipment and personnel to match, Tadrous takes pride in creating content from scratch. Commenting on the state of the industry in terms of content, Tadrous stated: Digital is king. Traditional broadcasters will not disappear but the industry is facing some radical shifts.

Having looked closely at the digitalisation of the industry for the past three years, Tadros believes the big change in the approach for content creators such as Media Gate is speed. Things change by the second now. The good thing is direct feedback from audiences that we would not have had with traditional broadcasters. The data that we get through the digital medium is fantastic in terms of our viewers preferences.
Tadrous believes the digital age has spelt the end of the traditional TV game show as we know it.
We used to work on a number game shows. But I believe the traditional game show is finished in the Middle East unless we adopt a revenue model based purely on advertising and not on calls from viewers. The current generation will not make calls into shows.
With plans to target new channels of distribution such as Netflix and other platforms this year, Tadros also concedes that the democratisation of content creation has brought in new challenges.
He explained: Earlier we were among the few content creators in the region. Today everyone is a star with followers. People create content with their Iphones.
One of his shows being marketed at the event is a reality makeover show titled Beauty Car that will select people from the streets for makeovers.
Leveraging his years of experience, access to talent, equipment and financial support, Tadros is confronting the digital age with entertainment content focused on fashion and beauty, among other content.
