Two production companies from the Middle East, Double Exposure Productions from the UAE and Forward Films from Saudi Arabia came out on top of all entries of this region.
Already for the 10th time, the winners of the Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards were honored within the Awards Ceremony at the Palm Beach Cannes on September 26. Out of 950 submissions from 51 countries, 206 shortlist nominees, and out of those 149 Trophy winners, were selected by an international jury and celebrated their success at this year’s edition. “Due to the numerous high-quality submissions, we decided to announce also shortlist nominations. In this way, creative and excellent productions get once more highlighted and additional recognition.”, so the festival director Alexander V. Kammel.
For the first time since the establishment of the festival, the Grand Prix, the White Dolphin, went to Germany. The family business Dibbern convinced the jury with the corporate image film “Traditional craftsmanship meets contemporary design”. The Blue Dolphin for the most successful production company of the year, went to the British production company RD Content, as they were awarded with six trophies during the festive Awards Gala.
The Awards Days started with the Welcome Evening at the L’Ondine Beach Restaurant. On Thursday festival guests had the opportunity to view all submitted productions at the Media Center and to enjoy lecture series on the topics of 360-degree production, branded content and licensing music or a VR Lounge at the InterContinental Carlton. In the evening, an amazing sundowner at the Welcome Champagne was followed by the highlight of the two days, the Awards Ceremony, accompanied by an elegant Gala Dinner. All winners had the opportunity to celebrate their success at the Dolphin Lounge.
The strong international aspect of this year’s festival is underlined by various winners from all around the world, such as ABS-CBN, British International School of Chicago, LEGO, Media Zoo, PwC, Shell, as well as Swiss International Air Lines and Yakult. Two production companies from the Middle East, Double Exposure Productions from the Arabic Emirates and Forward Films from Saudi Arabia came out on top of all entries of this region. Their productions “Dubai Business Excellence Awards”, “Time to Care” and “Traffic Transformation” were awarded with Silver, Gold and Black Dolphin Trophies.
