Amman International Film Festival has announced that the film project Daughters of Adbul Rahman, directed by Zaid Abu Hamdan and produced by Saba Mubarak, has received the Sound Design award at the Arab film projects in post-production within Amman Film Industry Days.
Held on the sidelines of the Amman International Film Festival- Awal, Jordan, the award was presented by Acoustic Film Sound in Estonia and is worth $17,500 of sound design and recording mix services.
Previously, Daughters of Adbul Rahman received two awards presented by the Arab Radio and Television Network (ART) and Rotana Group at the CineGouna SpringBoard, held within the CineGouna Platform. Each award is worth $10,000.
The film also received a grant from Doha Film Institute, Tribeca Film Institute, and the Jordan Film Fund (JFF) (Production Category) offered by The Royal Film Commission Jordan – RFC.
Daughters of Adbul Rahman is a dark comedy that tells the story of four estranged and offbeat sisters who are forced to come together to find their missing father.
The film stars Saba Mubarak, Farah Bsaiso, and Dana Dajani. Daughters of Adbul Rahman is co-produced by Pan East Media (Aya Wuhoush and Saba Mubarak), Lagoonie Film Production, MAD Solutions, and Arab Media Network. The film is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions and Film Clinic Indie Distribution.
