Discovery Channel is set to bring a high-profile crime series to viewers across the Middle East and North Africa with the premiere of Louvre Heist: Minute by Minute. It will air on Saturday, December 6, at 9 PM KSA on the Discovery Channel MENA and will also stream on discovery+ via OSN+ and stc tv.
The one-hour programme delivers a real-time reconstruction of the bold jewelry heist that took place in broad daylight on October 19, 2025, at the world-famous Louvre Museum in Paris. Through exclusive eyewitness accounts, forensic insights and detailed graphic recreations, the special retraces how the thieves penetrated the museum’s security and escaped with treasures valued at more than $100m.
Howard Lee, Chief Creative Officer of US Networks and President of Discovery Networks, said: “This cinematic-level heist stunned the world, and we’re breaking it down minute by minute. With exclusive footage and real-time storytelling, this special delivers the kind of jaw-dropping, edge-of-your-seat experience Discovery does best.”
As French authorities continue their efforts to recover the stolen Crown Jewels, the special examines the motivations behind the targeted displays, the possible masterminds behind the operation and the critical mistakes that ultimately exposed the culprits. Featuring commentary from witnesses, criminologists, former security officials and art historians, the programme reveals how the heist unfolded, the vulnerabilities in the museum’s security and whether the incident points to a broader rise in art thefts across Paris.
