The AV-led campaign was produced locally with regional talent and is now live across Saudi Arabia.
Disney+ MENA has launched a creative campaign that blends Saudi culture with iconic entertainment offerings available on its streaming platform.
the campaign brings mainstream entertainment into the fabric of everyday Saudi life. Themed with the Arabic tagline “Watch and Live the Stories (شاهد وعيش القصص),” the videos showcase cultural elements like fine-dining kabsa inspired by Disney’s Ratatouille and FX’s The Bear, Wolverine-themed toothbrush claws, and a father singing beloved Disney songs.
The campaign aims to “reimagine Disney+ favourites in moments that feel like home” by weaving Saudi culture into iconic narratives from The Walt Disney Company. Led by three 15-second hero videos, it features six top-performing titles on the platform in the region, including Inside Out 2, Deadpool & Wolverine, Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), and Frozen.
From Dallah coffee pitchers and folded Ghutras by the door to the unmistakable aroma of Bakhour incense burners, every scene hints at Saudi culture.
Ruben Lawrence, Director, Marketing, Communications, Ad Sales and Production for The Walt Disney Company Middle East, said: “Our recent ‘Watch and Live the Stories’ campaign for Disney+ is another stepping stone in our journey of what we call being ‘authentically Disney, distinctively local.
“Since bringing the Disney+ streaming service to Saudi Arabia in 2022, we have strived to emotionally connect with our Saudi audience and tell stories they know and love. This is the third locally developed Disney+ campaign and like the previous two, it was a fully local initiative, developed by our MENA creative and marketing teams, and shot and produced right here in the region. By leveraging this local lens, and integrating elements of local culture into the campaign, we were able to bring these beloved stories to life in a new way and showcase the strength and depth of the Disney+ service for the Saudi audience.”
