Ali Okhovat, Managing Partner of Attitude Enterprises said: When you watch Serenity Now, you will realise that when you combine the right story, the right talent and the right technology, you can deliver, in just 15 minutes, a world-class thrilling, sensational and intense experience. The cinematic visuals in this movie speaks volumes on Canons cinema production capabilities.
Mik Allen, the award winning DOP of the Serenity Now project, used Canon EOS C500 for the entire shooting. The camera was chosen for its exceptional quality in a lightweight package and its ability to push the limits of creativity for professionals of all kinds.
Serenity Now promotes social reconciliation in an increasingly digital world where non-human characters struggle to gain power through knowledge. The short film has been shot in eight unique locations in the UAE, with a team of 20 people. Efficient planning and pre-production allowed for only two days filming which is extremely short given the complexity of the scenes. However, the post production required substantial time in order to incorporate the special effects and develop the sound components of the short film. The end result is a short film that combines intensity in every scene, captivating music and thrilling special 2D and 3D effects.
