TVU MediaHub, a cloud-based routing solution, played a crucial role in managing signal flow between various video formats.
Emaar, the real estate developer, renowned for iconic projects like the Burj Khalifa, has partnered with TVU Networks to elevate their 2025 New Year’s Eve celebration. This globally celebrated event, held at the world’s tallest building, captivated millions of viewers through an IP-based distribution solution.
Leveraging TVU’s cutting-edge cloud broadcast ecosystem, the event achieved seamless integration from live capture to global distribution. TVU Producer managed multiple live feeds, transmitted via TVU RPS One 5G field units, allowing for multi-camera cloud production with sub-second latency and frame accuracy. The nine-minute spectacle featured fireworks, laser displays and Dubai Fountain performances, broadcast to a global audience.
The feed was distributed through two key platforms: TVU Grid, a professional IP video network that connects thousands of media organisations worldwide with high-quality, low-latency content, and TVU Search, an AI-powered cloud platform that enables instant access, clipping, downloading, and rights distribution of the live feed from any laptop in any output format.
Supporting the entire process, TVU MediaHub acted as a universal cloud-based routing
solution, managing the signal flow between diverse video format inputs and outputs. Emad
Qawasmi, Managing Director – Middle East & North Africa Region at TVU Networks, said:
“This integrated approach ensured the nine-minute spectacle, featuring fireworks, laser
displays, and Dubai Fountain performances, was distributed in HD quality with ultra-low latency
to complement existing distribution channels. This collaboration demonstrates how innovation in
IP-based distribution continues to enhance live event capabilities.”
This cutting-edge technological setup not only set a new standard for live event delivery but also demonstrated the transformative potential of cloud and AI-powered solutions in broadcast technology. The success of the Burj Khalifa event capped an extraordinary year for TVU Networks, which had already played a pivotal role in broadcasting major global events in 2024, including the Paris Games, elections and international sporting competitions.
