The film follows two siblings, each with distinct personalities and powers, who embark on a quest to save the mortal world and reconnect with their family.
Emirates airline has secured the rights to Into the Mortal World, the original animated feature from Winsing Animation that competed in the official selection at the 2025 Annecy International Animation Festival. The film will make its in-flight debut this December across the airline’s entire fleet and network.
Five years in the making, the feature has drawn significant international attention for its intricate visual style and expansive storytelling. The plot centres on two brothers with contrasting personalities and supernatural abilities who set out on a sweeping quest to save the mortal world and reunite with their family. As part of the Eastern Legends series, the film blends Chinese mythology with universal themes of love, resilience and familial bonds.
Since its premiere, Into the Mortal World has travelled widely on the global festival circuit. At Annecy, it sold out eight screenings, drawing close to 3,000 viewers and earning strong acclaim from both industry experts and audiences. Its festival journey continues with upcoming screenings at the Wellington Animation Festival 2026 and the Kaboom Animation Festival in the Netherlands.
Following its enthusiastic global reception, the film is set to broaden its reach in late 2025 with theatrical releases planned in Vietnam, Mongolia, Malaysia and across Latin America. Winsing will also showcase the title—together with new projects from the GG Bond franchise—at the Asia TV Forum & Market in Singapore as part of its ongoing strategy to strengthen international partnerships and expand its global footprint.
