The Abu Dhabi Film Commission has launched a script writing competition that will see one lucky writers story turned into a film.
Contestants can submit up to two scripts of no more than 5-10 minutes each, or between 5-12 pages, preferably in Arabic.
The scripts can be related to either revenge, crime or experimental genre.
Emirati film director Nawaf Al-Janahi will then turn the winning script into a film, which the Abu Dhabi Film Commission will promote at the international film festivals.
The winning contestant will also win a scholarship with the New York Film Academy, Abu Dhabi, equivalent to $3,700 to study a four-week digital film making course starting on April 1.
The competition is open to GCC residents only and is sponsored by Etihad Airways.
The deadline for entries is March 15.
