Portfolio to include overseeing global content licensing opportunities to major platform clients, such as Netflix, Amazon, Roku and Paramount.
David Decker, president of content sales at Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) will taken on an expanded global remit. The announcement was made by Warner Bros. Discovery international president, Gerhard Zeiler. The move is part of the conglomerate’s efforts to streamline and fine-tune its organisation.
A staff memo by Zeiler stated: “David will, besides his domestic remit, oversee global opportunities for content licensing to major platform clients, like Netflix, Amazon, Roku and Paramount who operate worldwide.”
The memo further explains that Phil Goodhew, senior VP, commercial strategy, international TV distribution, and Allan Stenhouse, senior VP, international TV marketing, will report to Decker, and work closely with international leadership and local licensing teams.
