YahLive has added GEM Sports TV, part of Middle East TV network GEM Group, to its list of clients. Using YahLive capacity, GEM TV will be broadcasting the live coverage of the London 2012 Olympic games from London.
The recent rights acquisition and agreement for GEM Sports TV to broadcast the 2012 London Olympics via the YahLive Satellite, will enable TV viewers across the Gulf region to experience the Olympic Games in ultimate HD, and is a natural extension of our long-standing partnership with GEM TV, commented Mohamed Youssif, CEO of YahLive.
YahLive provides one of the highest quality HD broadcasting services within the region.
We are very happy to strengthen our partnership with Yahlive and launch GEM Sports that will broadcast the coverage of the 2012 London Olympic Games. Saeed Karimian, Chairman of GEM Group said.
We chose YahLive exclusively because Yahlives orbital location of 52.5 degrees East, provides an optimal line of sight for direct reception within the Gulf area, Karimian further added.
Using YahLives connectivity, GEM Sports will transmit its Olympics TV coverage in HD and SD on a 24/7 basis for the duration of the Olympic Games, in 3 different languages Arabic, English and Farsi.
Consumers can watch GEM Sports HD coverage of the 2012 Olympic Games by installing a small 50cm to 60cm dish and using a free to air receiver that can be found at any consumer electronics retailer.
