IMI, the UAE-headquartered global privately owned media group, has announced the appointment of Mona Elsaka as its new Chief Brand, Marketing and Communications Officer, strengthening its leadership team as it continues to expand its international media footprint.
Elsaka joins IMI with extensive experience as a global brand and marketing leader, having held senior roles at Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, including PepsiCo and, most recently, Mastercard. Earlier in her career, she also worked with the United Nations, an experience that helped shape her purpose-driven approach to brand building and corporate leadership.
During her tenure at PepsiCo, Elsaka led the company’s Premier Partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, a globally recognised initiative that earned multiple awards for its focus on innovation, sustainability and cultural engagement. She later moved to Mastercard’s global sponsorships and partnerships division, where she oversaw relationships with some of the world’s most prominent platforms and properties, including the UEFA Champions League, Formula 1, the Cannes Film Festival, The BRIT Awards and The Open Championship, as well as major cultural and entertainment initiatives.
Widely regarded for her ability to build and transform iconic brands, Elsaka is known for driving growth through culture-shaping partnerships and aligning business strategy with sports, entertainment, innovation and purpose. Her career includes leading diverse international teams, working closely with C-suite executives and global stakeholders, and delivering large-scale impact across markets and industries.
