This partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering educational content to audiences across the region.
Education-centric media firm Sandbox Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Intigral, the media arm of STC Group, to strengthen its presence in the MENA region.
This collaboration will bring Sandbox’s diverse content to Intigral’s OTT platforms, including STC tv and Jawwy TV, across MENA. The rollout will commence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, followed by Egypt.
Sandbox’s content, focusing on learning shows and arts and crafts videos tailored for children, will be fully localised in Arabic. The lineup includes an array of titles such as an animation series based on Grimm’s Fairy Tales, The Adventures of Zee highlighting Arab culture, the classic kids’ show Pingu, the art series Learn to Draw, and the Hopster original Clever Brenda.
Commenting on the deal, Shan Eisenberg, Chief Commercial Officer of Sandbox Group, said: “We know that there is an increasing appetite for high-quality kids’ learning content in the Middle East and we are happy to be a key partner in providing this in the region. By adding our fun educational shows to STC tv and Jawwy TV, we enable Intigral to reach young families better: higher ARPU, more loyalty, and a lasting emotional connection with the users.”
Khulud Abu Homos, Vice President of Content at Intigral, added: “We are delighted to collaborate with SandBox to broaden the variety of educational content available to our viewers, granting them a more extensive selection of top-notch choices as we continuously aim to enhance the digital entertainment experience on our flagship OTT platforms STC tv and Jawwy TV.”
