The Abu Dhabi-based production house has been commissioned to undertake this project on account of its vast experience in developing and producing similar fight events.
Expo 2020 will host an exceptional first-of-its-kind fight exhibition for Muay Thai and combat sports enthusiasts on February 26 from 5 PM to 10 PM. Muaythai Night Expo 2020, where champions from different parts of the world along with the UAE national team athletes will combat for the first time at Expo 2020, will be hosted, produced and broadcast by Abu Dhabi-based production outfit IP Studios, which has extensive experience organising such fights. More than 60 crew members and staff will represent IP Studios as part of the project.
Speaking about the event, Mohamad Yehya, Founding Director of IP Studios, said: “We will be broadcasting the whole fight live on the Olympic Channel and the UAM platform. We also hope to broadcast them on other global channels that are carrying Expo 2020 feeds.
“This is a 360-degree job, and we are proud to have been commissioned this project by the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) and the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation (MKFED), where we are undertaking the project all the way from planning it, creating the promos and the media kit to producing it for television and broadcasting it. A team of 60 odd people will be here from the show caller and the line producer to the technical, production, broadcast and operations teams to ensure this event is well organised and goes smoothly.”
Muaythai Night Expo 2020 will include 12 fights featuring 20 fighters from 15 different international countries, with five Title fights competing on the grounds of Expo Dubai.
