A new report from Arab Advisors Group has revealed that IPTV is in its initial stage of penetration in the Arab World, and is still developing. Fourteen service providers in nine countries in the MENA region offer IPTV services. These countries include Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The report also mentioned that GCC countries had the largest number of IPTV providers in the region.
Moreover, there are a number of international and local broadcasting networks such as Starz Play, icflix and Istikana, which offer Subscription-based VOD services for the MENA viewers.
The report titled IPTV in the Arab World 2015 was released to the Arab Advisors Groups Media Strategic Research Service subscribers on May 21, 2015.
