The collaboration aims to pioneer next-generation content innovation and establish a strategic bridge across media technology and cultural industries.
During the BRIDGE Summit 2025 in Abu Dhabi, iQIYI and the BRIDGE Alliance have announced the formation of a wide-ranging strategic partnership, formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Jamal Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Vice Chairman of the BRIDGE Alliance, and Xianghua Yang, President of iQIYI’s Movie and Overseas Business Group.
The signing marked the beginning of a new phase of structured collaboration between China’s online entertainment platform and one of the Middle East and North Africa’s media and creative hub initiatives. Following the ceremony, representatives from both organisations held detailed discussions on future areas of cooperation, outlining shared priorities and long-term objectives.
The partnership is built on a common vision to advance innovation, inclusivity and global collaboration across the media, content and entertainment industries. The BRIDGE Alliance focuses on strengthening international cooperation and fostering impactful growth across the sector, while iQIYI brings extensive experience in long-form content creation, technology research and development and diversified digital business models. Together, the two parties aim to combine content and technology expertise with platform and hub capabilities to explore new directions in media technology.
Under the MoU, the collaboration will span several key areas, including joint intellectual property development and operations, co-production and international distribution of film and television content, applications of virtual production and virtual reality technologies, and cooperation in media technology research and industry exchange.
H.E. Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi said: “We welcome iQIYI as a partner of the BRIDGE Alliance. iQIYI’s leadership in content innovation and advanced technology integration makes it a natural collaborator as we build a globally connected media ecosystem.”
Xianghua Yang added: “This partnership represents a key step in expanding iQIYI’s international presence, particularly in strengthening ties with the MENA region. We look forward to delivering innovative entertainment experiences and contributing to the growth of the regional media technology ecosystem.”
The partnership aims to set a model for end-to-end collaboration, spanning research and development through to real-world implementation, while promoting cultural exchange and driving industry innovation through the power of media.
