Jackie Chan to film Kung Fu Yoga in Dubai

Jackie Chan will film his latest movie, Kung Fu Yoga, in Dubai from 28 September – 30 October 2015. This will be Chan’s first time filming in the Middle East.

The film, directed by Stanley Tong, a production of Beijing Taihe Entertainment Culture Development Co. Ltd., is the first project under India and China’s co-production agreement, which was signed in September 2014. The production is being serviced by AlKatraz Productions, the specialist UAE Production Services Company, who have been assisting the project since April.

Kung Fu Yoga will film in Dubai for thirty three days, and will bring around one hundred international crew to the Emirate, as well as use a large pool of local talent for filming. A series of car chase sequences will be shot in one of Dubai’s iconic landmarks, will showcase the Emirate’s amazing skyline and luxury attractions, as well as its world-class infrastructure, roads and bridges.

The filming of Kung Fu Yoga in Dubai follows a series of blockbusters who have selected the Emirate as their filming location this year, including Star Trek. The film will not only showcase Dubai’s iconic landmarks and attractions to a global audience, but will promote the Emirate’s position as a leading international hub for filming.
