Kanal D International has expanded its slate of Turkish content with the addition of the upcoming comedy feature Grill and Cash (Sıcak Büfe), a fast-paced film that mixes absurd humour with crime and social satire.
The 107-minute feature, produced by D Media and directed by Serdar Gözelekli, tells the chaotic story of two brothers whose lives spiral out of control after a mysterious bag of money and the body of a debt collector turn up at their struggling kiosk.
The film stars Hakan Yılmaz, best known for his role in Big Fat Lies and Orkuncan İzan, who also appears in the popular Kanal D drama Secret of Pearls. Their on-screen chemistry brings depth and comic flair to a narrative that balances suspense with biting humour.
Set for release on May 16, 2025, Grill and Cash is being positioned as a standout addition to the growing wave of contemporary Turkish cinema. With its character-driven storytelling and sharp comedic tone, the film is expected to resonate with international audiences seeking fresh, entertaining content from the region.
