Kings Cup MENA will be broadcast live from Riyadh, with coverage on MBC television and streaming channels.
Kings League has announced a media rights partnership with MBC Group to broadcast and stream its first official regional competition, the Kings Cup MENA. Under the deal, fans across the Middle East and North Africa will enjoy free live coverage of all matches on the MBC Action television channel and the Shahid streaming platform.
The Kings Cup MENA will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, spanning five days of seven-a-side football from October 24 to November 15. The tournament marks the official debut of Kings League MENA, showcasing the fast-paced, creator-driven football format that has captivated global audiences since its inception.
Recently, popular YouTuber Aboflah joined as the eighth team president of Kings League MENA, joining a lineup of regional creators and streamers such as SHoNgxBoNg and Drb7h from Saudi Arabia, Ilyas Elmaliki from Morocco and Tarboun from Egypt.
The new media rights agreement builds on Kings League’s ongoing collaboration with MBC, which has previously broadcast highlights from major global tournaments including the Kings World Cup Clubs and Kings World Cup Nations. The latest deal reinforces the growing international appeal of Kings League, the seven-a-side format created by football legend and entrepreneur Gerard Piqué.
Since its launch in Spain in 2023, Kings League has expanded into seven territories worldwide, with MENA becoming the latest addition. In the 2024–25 season alone, the league achieved 9.5bn social media impressions and 900m live streaming views, with broadcasts reaching over 120 territories globally.
Kings League MENA is a joint venture with SURJ Sports Investments, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company dedicated to advancing the region’s sports ecosystem.
Djamel Agaoua, Kings League’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with MBC Group, the biggest pan-regional broadcaster in the Arab world. This agreement will bring the Kings League MENA to millions of fans, unleashing a new era of football entertainment unlike anything they’ve seen before.”
The collaboration between Kings League and MBC Group promises to deliver a fresh and interactive football experience, merging the energy of traditional sport with digital innovation, fan participation and creator-led storytelling. Viewers will be able to enjoy live matches, highlights, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content through MBC Action and Shahid.
Ashraf Younis, Director of MBC Action and MBC3, added: “MBC Group is partnering with Kings League MENA to bring a revolutionary blend of sports and entertainment to the region, tapping into the league’s digital-first format and massive youth appeal. This collaboration aligns with MBC’s commitment to innovative content and regional talent development, positioning it at the forefront of the evolving sports media landscape. The Kings Cup MENA will feature on MBC Action and Shahid.”
With MBC’s pan-Arab reach and Kings League’s rapidly expanding global footprint, this partnership sets the stage for a dynamic and high-impact introduction of the Kings League brand to MENA audiences.
