Majid Universe, an Abu Dhabi Media brand, showcased its distinctive content to global audiences during the first digital edition of MIPCOM 2020 which was held from October 12 to 16 at Cannes in France.
The content included live and dubbed shows featuring the characters ‘Basal Wo Filfil’, and ‘Zakiya’ which is the region’s first original superhero animation production, aimed at children aged 6-14 years.
MIPCOM is a global marketplace for content innovators and Abu Dhabi Media’s presence reflects its ambitious strategy to deliver innovative, audience-centric content and accelerate its investment in digital entertainment.
Through its animated characters, the franchise represents a key opportunity to develop new formats and reach large audiences both regionally and globally.
Earlier this year, Abu Dhabi Media launched Majid Universe – an integrated multi-platform, digital, TV and print entertainment offering, targetting Arab children through unique storytelling, compelling characters, and engaging live-action programmes. It includes exclusive content on its popular YouTube and digital channels, and a revamped monthly magazine, with 400% more content, as well as an e-magazine app for smartphones.
