Spanish media company Mediaset España has acquired Turkish distributor Calinos Entertainment’s series Farah, the Turkish adaptation of the Argentinean series La chica que limpia (The Cleaning Lady),
Produced by O3 Medya, Farah has expanded its international footprint, securing deals that span Azerbaijan, Albania, Lithuania, Romania, and the MENA region in 2023.
The series is also currently streaming on the Arabic streaming platform Shahid.
Starring Demet Ozdemir, Engin Akyurek, Firat Tanis, Senan Kara, Lale Basar, Oktay Cubuk, Mustafa Avkiran, and Ali Surmeli, Farah narrates the story of an Iranian woman who flees her homeland and grapples with life in Istanbul. Working as a cleaning lady to sustain her son’s medical treatment, she finds herself entangled with the mafia as the narrative unfolds.
Penned by Deniz Dargi, M. Cem Gorgec, and S. Cenk Bogatur, Farah is a Turkish adaptation derived from the original Argentinian drama.
