NBC Sports will utilise Canon to deliver 115 Canon UHD broadcast lenses, with a presence of large format Cine-Servo lenses for its production of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
NBC Sports has selected Canon USA to supply a comprehensive array of 4K UHD and HD Field, Portable, and Studio lenses for its coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics. Scheduled from July 24 to August 11 and August 28 to September 8 respectively, NBCUniversal’s extensive coverage will span multiple platforms including NBC, Peacock, USA Network, E!, CNBC, GOLF Channel, Telemundo, Universo, NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app.
Viewers can expect daily coverage of at least nine hours of daytime events during the Summer Games, including live finals, with Peacock serving as the primary streaming destination offering live coverage of every sport and event, including all 329 medal events.
The Olympic Opening Ceremony on July 26 will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock, followed by a primetime replay. This marks NBCUniversal’s 19th Olympic Games and 12th consecutive overall, with exclusive US media rights secured through 2032. The Paralympics take place from Paris August 28-September 8, 2024.
Canon USA will provide NBC Sports with 115 Canon UHD broadcast lenses, featuring a significant presence of large format Cine-Servo lenses tailored for the cinematic style and behind-the-scenes coverage planned for the Paris Games. Additionally, Canon will deploy six onsite service and support members in Paris to ensure seamless broadcasting operations and capture compelling images from the venues.

Canon has worked with NBC Sports for 34 years, assisting NBC Sports’ production efforts at previous Olympics and other major international sports events in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
