The new channel will offer content ranging from animation and storytelling including ‘Dragons: Race To The Edge’, ‘Madagascar’ and ‘All Hail King Julien’.
Africa’s pay-TV operator StarTimes and NBCUniversal International Networks (NBCUIN) have partnered to launch a 24-hour channel family channel DreamWorks on StarTimes platform across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The two broadcasters said the DreamWorks channel which is available from Monday will offer a range of content including animated TV series to African viewers.
Commenting on the development, Lee Raftery, MD, NBCUniversal International Networks, EMEA, said: “Collaborating with StarTimes on bringing DreamWorks channel’s award-winning shows and beloved characters to Sub-Saharan Africa is a key milestone for our business.
