The Sultanate of Omans Ministry of Health has announced the launch of a health education TV channel titled Hayah. The channel was developed by Oman-based IT firm Anzyma and will engage more than 150,000 people every month including patients, visitors and staff working in health centres across Muscat in discussions on health.
The content for the channel is centrally controlled and managed through a remote terminal and includes the installation of SCALA, a content management system. SCALA includes features such as built-in template, schedule-based content distribution, a variety of integration possibilities, and media playlists to control the network remotely through any internet-enabled device.
“With more than 10 hours of original, broadcast-quality health education content, this health education channel has the potential to bring a revolution into people lives where everyone will be benefited of everyday lifestyle and health, commented Adnan Al Raisi, IT (Scala) Project Manager, Ministry of Health.
Our goal for Hayah is to create a health education channel which provides viewers with engaging, fun and informative content that impacts their everyday lives, day after day.
Costy Berberi, General Manager at Anzyma added that managing digital signage content like Hayah was very challenging.
We overcame this with SCALA, which helped us to improve and simplify the process. Hayah represents a breakthrough in increasing health literacy and we strongly believe that in the future, Hayah can create limitless opportunities for the healthcare sector,” added
