NMK Beyond combines the latest audio, video, lighting, control and collaboration technologies in dynamic spaces that replicate real workplaces, studios, classrooms and entertainment venues.
NMK Electronics, a Midwich Group company, has unveiled NMK Beyond, a 21,500-sqft technology experience hub located in Al Quoz, Dubai. The new facility is designed to transform how people discover and engage with modern technology by offering a fully immersive, real-world setting where innovation can be experienced firsthand, rather than viewed through screens, catalogues or conventional showrooms.
Conceived for industry professionals, creators and future innovators, NMK Beyond integrates cutting-edge audio, video, lighting, control, infrastructure and collaboration technologies within purpose-built environments that replicate real workplaces, studios, classrooms and entertainment venues. The aim is to demonstrate how these solutions function in practical, everyday scenarios.
Stephen Fenby, Managing Director at the Midwich Group, commented: “NMK Beyond reflects how technology is fundamentally changing the way people work, learn, and collaborate. As the UAE continues to invest in connected, experience-led environments, this venue provides the industry with a practical space to explore, test, and understand those technologies in real-world settings.”
The facility features a range of interactive zones, including immersive audio-visual environments, a Dolby Atmos-enabled recording and listening studio, AI-powered meeting and training rooms, and dedicated content creation areas designed around modern production workflows. These working setups allow visitors to see how technologies perform in real installations rather than theoretical demonstrations.
Alex Kemanes, Regional Managing Director, MESEA at Midwich Group, said: “We created a space for non-technical people, where technology works quietly in the background and feels completely natural, allowing people to experience it live and understand its value through interaction.”
Beyond showcasing technology, NMK Beyond also serves as a regional centre for skills development and professional training. In 2025 alone, the hub welcomed more than 6,000 visitors, with over 4,000 industry professionals taking part in hands-on training sessions, certifications and interactive demonstrations. Students and early-career professionals are also regular users of the facility, gaining exposure to real-world production and enterprise environments that help prepare them for careers in AV and technology.
The hub has already hosted leading global industry figures, including Metallica’s live sound engineer Greg Price, and features technologies used by internationally renowned performers such as Coldplay. NMK says this highlights how tools deployed on global stages are increasingly shaping workplaces, classrooms and creative industries.
The launch event also marked several strategic announcements from NMK Electronics. The company revealed it has become the exclusive GCC distributor for Neat, a collaboration solutions brand, and confirmed the opening of a new Control Room within NMK Beyond, extending the facility’s capabilities into critical-operations environments.
Founded nearly 40 years ago, NMK Electronics supplies professional technology solutions across the Middle East as part of the Midwich Group. With the launch of NMK Beyond, the company is reinforcing its long-term commitment to the region by providing a space where innovation can be explored, tested and validated before being implemented in real-world projects.
