Notable Arab stars missing from 2024 Ramadan drama line up.
The upcoming Ramadan drama season seems to lack lustre with the notable absence of several stars who dominated screens in the previous year.
With the second part of the hit series Ja’far Al-Amada competing outside of the Ramadan slot, actor Mohamed Ramadan will be missing from the slate.
In an attempt to reduce her television commitments due to the long shooting hours, actress Laila Eloui had already declared her absence from the coming season in 2021. She also stated a preference for participating in short series consisting of ten episodes and that are broadcast on digital platforms.
Following his success in the last two dramatic works, Serh Al-Bata (last Ramadan) and Saffah Al-Giza which concluded its broadcast recently, actor Ahmed Fahmy made a firm decision to step away from the world of drama for three years. Fahmy aims to focus on his upcoming cinematic ventures, with a strong emphasis on the second part of the film Mr. X. He will also be responsible for the story and screenplay of the second part of the film Keda Reda.
Similarly, actor Ahmed Ezz is missing from the 2024 Ramadan drama season for the second consecutive year, following his participation in three seasons of the series Al-Ekhtiyar. Currently, he is filming two other movies, Firqat Al-Mawt and Awlad Rizq 3.
Yousra and Nelly Karim have yet to make a decision about their involvement in the upcoming season. They have a prior agreement with the Al-Adel Group company not to participate in the 2024 drama season. This agreement permits them to work with other production companies since they have existing contracts with the company.
Actress Donia Samir Ghanem is another notable absentee. Her absence is due to her indecision regarding the concept she wishes to present.
