'Chasing Dreams' is the result of a collective effort by several Dubai-based musicians and singers.
Team AngelWolf, a non-profit foundation based in Dubai has announced the release of a new song Chasing Dreams that celebrates differences and encourages a spirit of inclusion.
The song is the result of many months of painstaking efforts by the group’s members. Its origins can be traced to 2022, when Team AngelWolf conceived a project to bring the world together around a musical message of hope. Calls for support aired by the group on social media met with an unprecedented response, gathering a team of producers, singers and songwriters within a very short span of time. These included music marketer Tobie Allen, writer-singers Anthony Touma and Varsha Vinn (writer & singer), choirmaster Rivaan Mager and his assistant Dusan Popovic, and music engineers Elvis Garagic and Sleiman Damien.
The team then held auditions to recruit members for the inclusive choir, drawing over 100 applications from singers with and without disabilities. The judges selected 17 singers, and post-rehearsals the song was finally recorded in More Studios with the final cut ready by March 2024. The result is an uplifting musical missive from Team AngelWolf to the world, a song that is accessible, inclusive and belongs to everyone, irrespective of their ability, age, gender, religion, or nationality. For Team AngelWolf, Chasing Dreams is a musical embodiment of the spirit of ‘Inclusive Impactivity’ – the motto that inspires Team AngelWolf’s tireless endeavours for sustainable social impact.
Commenting on the release of the song, Nick Watson, Founder of Team AngelWolf, said: “The Chasing Dreams project is an important step towards a world where inclusivity is the norm, not the exception. We are proud to see this song come to life and are deeply grateful to all the entities that contributed to bringing this powerful message of inclusion to the world. Their support has been instrumental in helping us drive the change we wish to see. Together, we are creating a platform where all voices can be heard and where no one is left behind.”
Team AngelWolf, licensed by Dubai’s Community Development Authority, was founded by Watson along with his wife Delphine, son Rio and daughter Tia (a.k.a. LittleXWolf). It originally started as a single-minded attempt to improve life prospects for Rio who was born with a rare chromosome disorder. The family’s dedication drew the attention of like-minded people who came together to form Team AngelWolf. Its members have since participated in more than 500 sporting events across the world, and have, among other achievements, set three Guinness World Records in various competitive categories.
