The series focuses on the life of Orhan Bey, the second ruler of the Ottoman Empire, and his mission to expand his father's state.
NoorPlay, the streaming platform for premium Arabic content, has launched the exclusive regional premiere of The Ottoman: Orhan, a Turkish historical drama now available to subscribers across the Middle East and North Africa.
The drama serves as a direct sequel to the series Kuruluş: Osman (The Ottoman), which also aired on NoorPlay in the Middle East region. The new series features a new cast and continues the saga with a time jump to cover Orhan’s era, including the conquest of Bursa.
Set in the 14th century, the series chronicles the rise of Orhan Bey, son of Osman I, as he confronts political turmoil, fierce battles and internal rivalries within the Kayı tribe. After suffering a defeat in Bursa and facing mounting tensions with his brother Alaeddin, Orhan must unite his allies and family to carry forward his father’s mission of capturing key Byzantine strongholds and shaping the foundation of a powerful empire.
Produced and distributed by ATV Distribution, The Ottoman: Orhan extends the legacy of Kuruluş: Osman, introducing a fresh generation of characters while retaining the high-intensity storytelling that defined its predecessor. The show combines historical detail with dramatic narratives, highlighting Orhan’s leadership, strategic prowess and determination in the face of both internal discord and external danger.
The new series is now streaming exclusively on NoorPlay, giving viewers across the region access to the story of one of the Ottoman Empire’s most influential early rulers.
