The new division will develop English-language projects for the US and UK, while also producing local-language series and films across Europe, Latin America and the MENA region.
OGM Pictures has named producer Berna Levin as its new Head of International Production, a move that signals a major push in the Turkish studio’s global expansion strategy. The appointment coincides with the launch of a new division focused on developing international television series and feature films, reinforcing OGM Pictures’ ambitions beyond its home market.
In her new role, Levin will collaborate closely with OGM founder Onur Güvenatam to build and oversee the company’s international slate. The division will focus on premium English-language projects aimed at the US and UK, alongside local-language productions across Europe, Latin America and the MENA region. The content strategy will prioritise character-driven stories with strong emotional depth and broad international appeal.
Levin brings extensive international experience, having worked across Los Angeles, London and the Nordic markets. Her background includes high-profile projects such as The Playlist, Young Wallander, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Hidden. She is widely recognised for her expertise in international drama, co-productions and cross-border development, as well as for her strong global industry network.
Commenting on her appointment, Levin said: “OGM Pictures has demonstrated that deeply emotional, culturally specific storytelling can travel anywhere. Onur and his team have built one of the most dynamic creative engines in the region, and the opportunity to join forces with them at this moment of expansion into other territories is incredibly exciting. In a moment when the world feels unsettled, audiences are gravitating toward distinctive, well-crafted stories that help them connect and make sense of things. OGM Pictures consistently delivers work that speaks to that need with precision and emotional depth, and I’m looking forward to taking that strength into new territories.”
Güvenatam underscored the strategic impact of Levin’s appointment: “Berna’s experience in developing and producing ambitious, internationally driven projects makes her uniquely suited for this role. Her grounding in Turkish culture, combined with her deep experience in international markets, gives her a rare ability to bridge perspectives. Together, we’re building a slate that reflects OGM Pictures’ creative identity while positioning us as a major partner for global co-productions. We aim to work with leading creative voices around the world and deliver series and films that resonate far beyond any single market.”
As part of its international strategy, OGM Pictures plans to establish long-term relationships with global creatives, producers, broadcasters and streaming platforms. The company is also exploring financing models that allow it to originate and co-own high-value intellectual property, with co-productions playing a central role in designing projects for global audiences from the earliest development stages.
OGM Pictures has already built a strong reputation both domestically and internationally with series such as Golden Boy, The Red Room, The Innocents and Chrysalis. Its productions regularly rank among Turkey’s top-rated shows while achieving widespread distribution on international streaming platforms.
