A Government-owned Oman Sports Channel has suspended its broadcaster for five days for violating the terms and conditions of the channel, it was reported in Gulf News recently.
The report said that Khalid Al Shukaili has tweeted he received a message on Thursday that his services were not required for five days because he was working against the interests of the channel.
The decision came after Al Shukaili raised the issue of repeat telecast, poor quality of the studio and justified the absence of an employee who did not receive money for overtime.
Al Shukaili was questioned by the Legal Committee of the Public Authority for Radio and Television for his criticism about the quality of work and the absence of the employee who did not receive money for his work.
It may be recalled that another broadcaster Aida Al Zadjali was also stopped from doing her job for a while in one of the shows in the General Oman TV for her criticism about the quality of work.
