Omani video production house KMA Productions recently won eight film awards at the Annual WorldFest-Houston Film Festival, the third oldest international film festival in North America and the oldest indie film/video festival in the world.
The company won the awards in four sub-categories of film and video production. It swept all four awards – platinum, gold, silver and bronze – in safety/first aid category and won two in employee communication, and one each in training and recruitment/career category.
KMA Productions has also earned the distinction of receiving the maximum number of awards for a company in the festival that was held on April 16.
KMA Productions received awards for its films on BankMuscat, titled ‘BCP Mission GONU’ as well as for films made for PDO, MB Petroleum and Sohar Aluminium.
Sayyid Khalid bin Muhammed al Said, multimedia producer and proprietor of KMA Productions, stated that the awards have encouraged the company to think beyond providing productions for our corporate clients to creating film productions that tell compelling international stories while featuring the beauty and culture of Oman.
