Israel’s new Over-the-Top Television (OTT TV) platform, FreeTV, has made its debut with an offering that includes more than 50 live channels and an extensive library boasting tens of thousands of Video-on-demand (VoD) assets.
FreeTV operates on the Redge Media platform, an end-to-end solution provided by Redge Technologies. Redge Technologies, a prominent player in Over-the-Top (OTT) and edge computing technologies across the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, has been a presence in the market since 2007.
FreeTV offers viewers a diverse array of live content along with a comprehensive on-demand entertainment catalogue. It features a wide selection of more than 50 live channels, including popular Israeli broadcasters, top-tier sports networks, a plethora of children’s programming, and a wide range of entertainment options. FreeTV comes complete with catch-up and multi-screen capabilities, enabling viewers to rewind, pause, and catch up on missed episodes using any compatible device. This streaming service relies on Redge Media for end-to-end deployment, encompassing Service Delivery Platform (SDP) and Video Delivery Platform (VDP), complete with Redge Media’s Content Delivery Network (CDN).
