InfoComm Middle East and Africa will be the next event to showcase award-winning videowall technology company, Prysm.
Prysm has recently received the Best Comprehensive Equipment Device Award at the Beijing International Radio TV and Film equipment exhibition 2012 (BIRTV), alongside China-based AV distributor and integrator Century Sage Scientific. The winning product, Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) TD-1 tile, comprises technologies to create videowall displays and Century Sage Scientifics success, supplying and distributing the technology to the Chinese AV industry.
The LPD technology creates images with lasers scanning the surface of the screen and energising a phosphor panel, providing an ultra wide viewing angle of 178°. The environmentally friendly option eases energy costs by up to 75% when compared to traditional LCD and projection displays, lowering long-term costs.
At the BIRTV show, Prysm exhibited in the Century Sage Scientific stand, showcasing a curved videowall measuring about 5 m wide x 1.5 m tall.
Vice President of Prysm in Greater China, Sidney Rittenberg, Jr. said: Prysms LPD technology has become recognised as a key player in the Asian market and continues to evolve with its small seams, brightness, and high quality viewing from every angle. Its environmentally-friendly credentials and long life span offer further reasons why it is becoming established as the most up-to-date technologically advanced large format display in the market.
Prysm will demonstrate the LPD next at InfoComm, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre 14-18 October, 2012.
