The Saudi Film Confex 2024 serves as a gathering point for filmmakers, producers, distributors and investors from Saudi Arabia and the world.
Riyadh is preparing to host the second edition of the Saudi Film Confex from October 9 to 12, aimed at advancing the Kingdom’s film industry and fostering investment and partnership opportunities, following the success of the inaugural event.
The event will feature 30 panel discussions and workshops, addressing critical topics such as film financing and production planning, according to a report by Saudi Broadcasting Authority.
Organisers also promise activities to enhance the visitor experience and offer insights into various aspects of filmmaking. Additionally, the confex will host an exhibition of over 160 local, regional and international companies specialising in production, smart studio construction and cinematic technologies.
The Saudi Film Confex 2024 seeks to strengthen the local film sector by showcasing filming and production opportunities, promoting collaboration with international partners, and supporting startups. It also aims to introduce initiatives that add value to the industry, while boosting infrastructure development within the Kingdom.

The programme also includes expanding the scope of participating sectors to include companies specialising in animation, 3D graphics, and other fields. Working groups will be formed to explore new ideas both locally and internationally and to motivate exhibitors and participants to showcase innovative technologies and concepts during the confex’s activities
