Rushlake Media's English-language channel is entirely curated and managed by the Nairobi team, with Edward Mulandi as the lead channel manager.
Rushlake Media, a company based in both Germany and Kenya, has recently introduced TidPix, a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel featuring African content in North America.
This streaming brand managed and curated by Rushlake Media in Nairobi, showcases authentic African content, including Kafe Coh from Uganda, Bangarang from Kenya, and Vindictive from Nigeria, in addition to series like Nairobi Law and All That Glitters.
With six additional platforms to be announced over the next few weeks, TidPix has launched on VIDAA, TCL, FreeMovies+ and RlaxxTV.
Rushlake Media founder and MD Philipp Hoffman said: “Since we launched TidPix on Africa Day in 2020, it has become one of the go-to destinations for audiences interested in authentically African content. Bringing the channel to the global FAST market allows even broader audiences to enjoy African content and opens up additional monetisation for the filmmakers and streamers we partner with.”
Edward Mulandi, Lead Channel Manager at Rushlake Media, said: “Launching TidPix has been a rewarding challenge and has proven to be a fantastic opportunity to offer a genuinely African channel for all FAST consumers. FAST promises great value for those looking to watch brilliant, exciting and authentic African films without a significant barrier to entry and ease of access. TidPix fulfills that mandate by acquiring and curating these modern African classics and hidden gems with its vibrant soul, powered by a passionate Nairobi-based team who seek to bring authentically African stories to the world.”
