The digital platform offers a four-step process: register with UAE PASS, submit the form, undergo review by the UAE Space Agency and receive the digital licence instantly upon approval.
In a strategic step towards eliminating government bureaucracy and accelerating digital transformation, the UAE Space Agency has launched its digital services platform during its participation at GITEX Global 2025, the worlds largest technology and entrepreneurship event, taking place from October 13 to 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
His Excellency Eng. Salem Butti Al Qubaisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency, said: “The launch of the UAE Space Agencys digital platform marks a major milestone in our smart transformation journey. The platform has been designed as a unified gateway that places our space-related services at the fingertips of investors, entrepreneurs, and start-ups, supporting future aspirations while strengthening the UAEs position as a global hub for space.”
He added: “We are committed to advancing national strategies, particularly the UAEs vision of eliminating bureaucracy, by adopting innovative digital solutions that accelerate processes, reduce time and effort, and create a positive impact on the national space economy. This platform will serve as a global model for managing space
Developed in line with the UAE Governments vision to phase out paper-based transactions, the platform introduces an integrated digital system that accelerates the issuance of space licenses and permits. It improves operational efficiency, enables real-time tracking of applications, and fosters a digital ecosystem that encourages investment and innovation. Entrepreneurs and start-ups can access interactive tools and tailored services to launch and grow their ventures within a transparent and supportive regulatory framework.
The platforms seamless four-step licensing process, from registration via UAE PASS and digital application submission to review and instant digital issuance, sets a new benchmark for service delivery.
During the platforms soft launch, the UAE Space Agency issued its first digital license to Space42, marking a historic moment in the countrys digital transformation of the space sector. Space42 commended the process, noting that the application experience was smooth, efficient, and enabled completion in record time, allowing the company to focus on innovation in line with the National Space Strategy 2030.
At GITEX Global 2025, the UAE Space Agency also highlighted its key initiatives and upcoming projects aimed at strengthening the national space sectors competitiveness. Visitors experienced live demonstrations of the new digital services, gaining first-hand insight into the advanced technologies propelling the UAEs space ambitions.
Through its official website, the UAE Space Agency continues to make space sector engagement more accessible by offering clear digital pathways, resources and guidance for innovators and entrepreneurs. This latest initiative reinforces the UAEs commitment to developing a sustainable, knowledge-based economy, advancing the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071, and positioning the nation as a global leader in digital and space innovation.
