The plot features a mix of comedy, thrill, and action as Amer's courage puts them in a tough spot before he comes up with a plan to turn their enemies into heroes.
Saudi Arabian comedy film Shabab Al Bomb 2 is now streaming on Netflix MENA. Directed by Hazem Fouda and starring a talented ensemble of Saudi comedians, Shabab Al Bomb 2 continues the legacy of the much-loved Saudi satirical comedy TV series Shabab Al Bomb.
The film brings back the fan-favourite character Amer, played by Faisal Al-Eisa, alongside Mohammed Al-Dosari, Abdulaziz Al Furajiji, Salman Al Muqaytib and Muhannad Al Jumaili.
Set against the backdrop of a new hangout spot, the story follows Amer and his friends as they clash with a rowdy gang of car drifters whose noisy antics disrupt the peace. In classic Shabab Al Bomb style, chaos soon turns to comedy as Amer devises a bold plan to transform the area into a licensed football championship venue — turning rivals into unlikely heroes. Blending sharp humor with thrilling action and heartfelt camaraderie, the film captures the youthful spirit and social commentary that made the original TV series a cultural phenomenon.
Released in Saudi cinemas on March 30, 2025, Shabab Al Bomb 2 quickly became a box office sensation, selling more than 603,000 tickets and grossing over $7.3m (SAR 27.2m). The film dominated the summer season, with sold-out screenings across the Kingdom and neighboring Gulf markets, underscoring the growing appetite for Saudi-made entertainment.
The movie’s arrival on Netflix MENA opens it up to millions of viewers across the Middle East and North Africa, offering regional audiences the chance to experience one of Saudi Arabia’s beloved comedies. The streaming debut also reflects Netflix’s ongoing investment in showcasing Arabic-language content and supporting the rise of original stories from Saudi filmmakers.
