Shahid, the Arabic streaming platform from MBC Group, has announced the exclusive digital premiere of the Egyptian series Harb El-Gebaly, launched on May 18. The series debut simultaneously on television via MBC Masr at 9:00 PM Cairo time.
Delayed for over three years, Harb El-Gebaly is finally reached audiences with its social narrative set against the backdrop of a traditional Egyptian neighborhood. The drama explores the age-old struggle between good and evil, told through a web of human stories that underscore themes of morality in a society challenged by greed and selfishness.
The series features a star-studded ensemble, including Ahmed Rizk, Sawsan Badr, Heba Magdy, Nesreen Amin, Salah Abdallah, Ferdous Abdel Hamid, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Ashraf Abdel Ghafour, Ahmed Azmy, Donia El Masry, Khaled Kamal and Safwa. Actress Likaa Swidan plays a pivotal role as the manipulative wife of veteran actor Riyad El-Khouly.
Written by Samah El-Hariry and directed by Mohamed Osama, Harb El-Gebaly marks the second on-screen pairing of Swidan and El-Khouly, following their work together in the 2021 series Ayam.
