Skandha Media Services, a specialist in media workflow, automation, digital-first solutions and managed broadcast services, has appointed K.S. Avinash as its new Vice President of Sales as the company accelerates its growth across the broadcast, OTT and content production sectors.
Avinash, who brings more than 16 years of experience in sales, presales and media technology, joins the company at a time when media organisations are rapidly reshaping their operations for an AI-driven future. His background spans post-production workflows, media asset management, content supply chain optimisation and cloud migration for prominent clients across India and the wider Asia-Pacific region. He has previously contributed to major projects at Planetcast, Real Image Media Technologies and SRSG, earning a reputation for understanding both regional challenges and the opportunities emerging from next-generation media trends.

Throughout his career, Avinash has overseen complex infrastructure projects, including nationwide content supply chain deployments in India and the development of resilient file-based workflows for OTT platforms such as MX Player. His experience also includes managing remote office setups during COVID-19, delivering large cross-border installations and leading agile teams to complete technical rollouts within tight deadlines. “In media, adaptability and courage often determine success. My goal is to ensure customers experience our support not just in routine delivery, but when facing their toughest project challenges,” he added.
In his new role, Avinash will drive Skandha’s expansion across India and APAC, supporting clients as they navigate rising infrastructure costs, bandwidth optimisation challenges and phased transitions to cloud-based environments.
