Sky News Arabia, part of the IMI media group, has announced the launch of its newsroom, studios and an enhanced programming grid. The new headquarters, located at IMI’s HQ on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, is equipped with advanced broadcasting technology powered by artificial intelligence.
Marking 12 years since its establishment, the move represents a significant milestone in the channel’s journey, reinforcing its global influence as a major Arab news platform. The transition reflects IMI’s commitment to fostering storytelling and global connectivity through technological advancements and diverse programming.

The revamped programme grid blends political coverage with lifestyle, sports, business and entertainment content. New shows like Studio One, hosted by Fadila Souissi, bring fresh perspectives to political and societal topics, airing daily at 16:00 UAE time. The channel will also debut Emad Eldin Adib, a show focused on Arab political affairs, alongside daily programmes like Ghurfet Al Akhbar (The Newsroom) at 22:00, Al Dhahira (Noon) at 12:00, and Al Tasi’aa (9 o’clock) at 21:00.
Additionally, Aal Kharita (On the Map), presented by Nancy Tabet, will explore a variety of political and social topics, while Radar Al Akhbar (News Radar) will review and analyse significant global events.
Lifestyle and entertainment programming is also expanding, with Al Sabah Show, a morning segment covering health, fashion and celebrity news, hosted by a team including Ahmed Qassem, Hani Ziadeh, Christine Dagher and Lubna Mansour. Furthermore, there will be 12 mini-segments addressing diverse facets of life, specifically tailored for digital channels and social media platforms to cater to the evolving demands of their audience.
Sports fans can look forward to Hajma Mortada (Counterattack) with Mousa Al Bulooshi, offering in-depth football analysis. The Business with Lubna programme, which earned over 220m organic views last year, will also return. Other programmes include Minassat (Platforms), which will highlight the latest in current trends, Lana with the Stars, showcasing celebrity news, Hadith Al Arab with Suleiman Al Hatlan, the Tech In programme presenting the latest technology news and the Clinic programme focusing on health.
