Sony Professional held its first education event in Dubai at the Westin Mina Seyahi on May 20-21. The event targeted the education sector showcasing AV solutions catering especially to schools and universities. A whole range of products showcasing audio visual, studio, security solutions were demoed at the two-day event, which saw end-users from the education sector and a host of business partners in attendance. The latest products from Sony including the new VPL-SW525C interactive projectors and Anycast Touch were the highlights of the show. It was interesting to see how professional broadcast equipment can be integrated into classroom teaching.
Sony along with its partners presented a complete AV setup for an educational institute. The four areas specifically addressed were school auditoriums, classrooms, school security with close circuit cameras and professional broadcast equipment in a studio.
A multi-purpose auditorium, a studio, two networked multimedia classrooms and a security room were set up for the attendees to have a firsthand feel of the products and how they are integrated into an educational framework. A tour of the set up gave a complete run through of the set up as it would be in a school or a university.
The system integration for the event was done by Al Reyami Technologies while the interiors and furnishings were provided by Al Reyami Interiors for a complete studio and auditorium fit out. The design and build of the setup took two days to complete.
